Congratulations to Lisa E. Harris, M.D., CEO of Eskenazi Health, for being nationally recognized for health care leadership.

For the third consecutive year, Lisa E. Harris, M.D., CEO of Eskenazi Health, has been named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s “Great Leaders in Healthcare” list. She was also named on their great health care leaders lists in 2017 and 2018 and has been recognized on their “143 Women Leaders of Hospital and Health Systems,” “112 Physician Leaders of Hospitals and Health Systems” and “110 Physician Leaders to Know” lists.

Dr. Harris was honored this year for being a “force in public health” by “spearheading bold initiatives to improve the social and clinical health of her city while advocating for public health on the national level.”

Some of the initiatives Becker’s Hospital Review cited include the organization’s health engagement zones work, the opening of the Eskenazi Health Thomas & Arlene Grande campus, the launch of the John & Kathy Ackerman Mental Health Professional Development Center at Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center, and the proliferation of lifestyle medicine programming across the organization’s health care centers.

Becker’s Hospital Review also praised Dr. Harris’s numerous appearances on IBJ Media‘s “Indiana 250” leaders list and a “career’s worth of honors dating back more than two decades.”

Eskenazi Health Foundation congratulates Dr. Harris on this distinct honor and is grateful for her leadership on our board of directors, spearheading initiatives to extend Eskenazi Health’s impact, and to address clinical needs and the social drivers that impact health outcomes.
